DCJS Courageous Conversations

The DCJS Courageous Conversations Project brings together community leaders with local law enforcement officials to engage in a series of listening and learning exchanges. These exchanges allow all participants to speak their truth and share their lived experiences but also to hear the truths and appreciate the lived experiences of others. The objective of these exchanges is to leverage the common ground of participants – a desire for community wellbeing – in order to be proactive, in a co-active way to address the problems that challenge relational policing and community wellbeing.

Youth, Blue & U (YB&U) Engagement

The Youth, Blue & U (YB&U) Engagement Project is funded by the Byrne Justice Assistance program, sponsored by the Charlottesville Police Department, and facilitated by the Public Engagement in Governance Looking, Listening and Learning Laboratory (PEGLLLLab) founded and directed by Brian N. Williams, PhD.
